Stock Picker Pro SmartGroups-easy and accurate
The power of the Stock Picker Pro software is its ability to categorize, organize and rank. As part of the SPP menu, SmartGroups offers the ability to choose from a wide variety of investment types.
The quickest and easiest group to pick from is the HGS SmartGroups. These filters allow the investor the ability to choose from variations of an established style of analysis based on assumptions similar to the CANSLIM method. SmartGroups also allows an investor to choose from groupings types of investments. Take a look at the menu and you can see the various categories to choose from.

As you can see, there are categories for ETF's, Market Action (Market Summary) and Types of Stocks. In all of these categories, the analysis process is simple: First, you highlight the subcategory you want to examine and then select the Warehouse icon and this will bring up a list of top candidates. You can then choose to rank them from high to low or low to high. You do this by choosing an up or down arrow in the “Combo column”. This key filter ranks according to a list of 10 different variables that look at fundamentals and locates the strongest candidates. But there is more.
The Warehouse defaults to the “Scorecard” view which presents a table with columns which rank according to a host of over 50 additional factors. The color coded cells are the most used and make it easy to spot the top issues in just a glance.

Of course, those who like to design their own filters or modify the existing ones can easily do so, but that subject is beyond the scope of this article. Suffice it to day, that tinkering with the default modes should be left to the very knowledgeable investor. Over the ten years that SPP has been in existence, results from using the standard default filters has been impressive and way beyond the norm.
Warehouse Scorecard view ranks on over 50 variables

After pulling up the rankings in the Warehouse-scorecard view, you can click on any candidate and pull up a chart to move from the fundamental selection process to the technical analysis. The charts have the facility to do a wide range of interactive analysis to help select such things as entry and exit points, stop-loss selection and timing.
